2. Scope of Services

Conectum is a privacy-oriented digital distribution platform with wallet-based authentication, enabling access to licensed operating systems and third-party connectivity services.

Conectum does not operate as:

– a virtual private network (VPN) provider;

– an electronic communications service provider or telecommunications operator;

– a financial institution, payment service provider, or crypto-asset service provider;

– a digital identity provider or custodian of crypto assets.

Conectum does not provide crypto-asset services, does not act as a crypto-asset service provider, and does not offer custody, exchange, brokerage, or transfer services in relation to crypto-assets.

Through the Conectum Platform, users may purchase and access the following digital products and services:

– time-limited licenses (flashing keys) for installing Castrum OS on compatible Google Pixel devices;

– VPN vouchers provided by third-party service providers;

– secure eSIM data packages provided by third-party partners;

– prepaid credits (“Top-Up Credits”) used exclusively for purchasing the above services.

All products and services are digital in nature.

Any VPN, eSIM, or connectivity services made available through the Platform are provided and technically operated by independent third-party providers. Conectum acts solely as a distributor or intermediary and does not control or operate the underlying infrastructure.

Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as establishing Conectum as a regulated service provider under financial services, telecommunications, or electronic communications laws, except where mandatory law expressly provides otherwise.

3. Access to the Platform and Wallet-Based Authentication

The Platform is intended for persons who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and in any case not younger than 18 years.

Users do not create a traditional user account. There is no registration via username, password, or email address.

Access to the Platform is possible exclusively by connecting a supported crypto wallet. The wallet connection serves solely as a technical authentication mechanism.

The connected wallet:

– acts as a technical identifier;

– does not constitute identification of the user as a natural or legal person;

– is not stored by Conectum in plain form and is processed only in hashed form using industry-standard cryptography.

The user’s identity on the Platform is pseudonymous. Conectum does not know, verify, or determine the real-world identity of the wallet holder.

The person who controls the private keys of a wallet is deemed to be the rightful user.

3.1 Restricted Jurisdictions and Sanctions

The Platform may not be used by persons located in, resident in, or otherwise subject to sanctions or embargoes under applicable laws.

Conectum may restrict, block, or refuse access to the Platform or any transaction where necessary for compliance with sanctions, export controls, or internal risk controls.

Users represent and warrant that they are not subject to sanctions, are not acting on behalf of sanctioned persons, and are not located in a restricted jurisdiction.

4. Consumer Status and Exercise of Consumer Rights

Certain mandatory consumer rights under applicable law apply only to natural persons acting outside their trade, business, or professional activity (“Consumers”).

Use of the Platform is possible without disclosing the user’s legal status. However, if a user wishes to exercise rights that are reserved by law exclusively for Consumers, Castrum Labs d.o.o. may require reasonably sufficient information and/or documentation to determine whether the user qualifies as a Consumer under applicable law.

If the user does not provide such information or it is determined that they are acting in a business or professional capacity, consumer rights will not apply, regardless of any other rights the user may have under applicable law.

5. User Responsibility and Security

Users are solely responsible for:

– safeguarding their crypto wallet and private keys;

– all activities conducted through their connected wallet;

– ensuring lawful use of all purchased products and services.

Conectum:

– has no access to private keys;

– cannot recover wallets or restore access;

– cannot transfer licenses, credits, or services to another wallet.

We do not control, store, or manage users’ wallets or private keys. Users are solely responsible for safeguarding their credentials.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Loss of wallet access results in irreversible loss of access to all associated licenses, credits, vouchers, and services.

6. Payments, Top-Ups and Pricing

All payments are made using cryptocurrencies via independent third-party payment processors or on-chain payment methods, as made available on the Platform. Conectum does not process or store users’ private keys or payment credentials.

Conectum accepts cryptocurrency solely as a means of payment for digital goods and services. No crypto-asset account, wallet service, exchange service, or transfer functionality is provided to users.

Cryptocurrency payments may be processed by independent third-party payment processors acting solely as technical payment service providers on behalf of Conectum. Such processors do not become sellers, resellers, or providers of the products or services available on the Platform. Conectum remains the sole seller and merchant of record for all products and services offered through the Platform.

Payment processing services are provided independently by such payment processors and are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective processor.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all prices and Top-Up values displayed on the Platform are denominated in EUR-equivalent value, calculated at a fixed internal exchange rate of 1 EUR = 1 Conectum Credit (CC).

Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Refunds are not provided except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise or where expressly stated or approved by Conectum in accordance with these Terms.

6.1 Minimum and Maximum Top-Up Amounts; Lifetime Limits

The minimum Top-Up amount is 50 EUR (50 CC).

The maximum total amount of Conectum Credit (CC) that may be credited to or held by a connected wallet or user access over its lifetime is 10,000 EUR (10,000 CC), unless otherwise approved by Conectum in writing or required by applicable law.

Conectum reserves the right to restrict, delay, or refuse any Top-Up transaction that would cause a wallet or user access to exceed the applicable lifetime limit.

6.2 Tolerance, Underpayments and Overpayments

The user is responsible for ensuring that the amount received by Conectum, after deduction of all applicable network fees, transaction costs, conversion fees, and third-party processor fees, corresponds to the selected Top-Up value.

Tolerance for Underpayments:
A tolerance of up to two percent (−2%) applies to underpayments only.
If the received amount is at least 98% of the selected Top-Up value, the Top-Up may be processed automatically and the user will be credited with the full selected Top-Up amount in Conectum Credit (CC).

If the received amount is below the tolerance threshold, no Conectum Credits will be credited automatically, and the transaction must be resolved manually through Support. Any manual processing, if approved, shall be subject to deduction of all applicable network fees, transaction costs, conversion fees, and administrative or handling fees, which shall be borne exclusively by the user.

Overpayments:
If a user sends an amount exceeding the selected top-up value, the user will receive exactly the number of Conectum Credits (CC) chosen for the top-up. Any excess payment will not be automatically credited as additional CC.

If the user believes an error has occurred or wishes to manage the excess, they should contact support through the available channels (help desk).

Conectum shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or restriction resulting from an incorrect amount sent, an incorrect wallet address, or the user’s failure to comply with the Top-Up requirements or payment instructions.

6.3 Currency Conversion and Refund Method

Top-Up payments may be automatically converted into another cryptocurrency or stablecoin (including, but not limited to, conversion into USDC) for settlement, accounting, or operational purposes.

Where a refund is approved or required, any refund shall be processed in the converted currency or its EUR-equivalent value, and not in the original cryptocurrency sent by the user.

The refunded amount shall be calculated based on the exchange rate applied at the time of receipt and conversion, less any applicable network fees, transaction costs, conversion fees, and administrative or handling fees, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

6.4 Compliance Thresholds and KYC Measures

Conectum may apply risk-based thresholds and internal controls in order to comply with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) laws and regulations.

If a Top-Up transaction, a series of transactions, or the total credited balance exceeds or would cause the lifetime limit of 10,000 CC to be exceeded, Conectum may:

  • credit the user only up to the applicable limit, and
  • restrict, block, or suspend the excess amount pending identity verification (KYC) or regulatory review.

If the user successfully completes the requested verification, the restricted amount may be credited or otherwise released, subject to these Terms.

If the user fails or refuses to complete verification within a reasonable period, Conectum may, where technically and legally possible, refund the restricted amount, less applicable fees, or handle the funds as required by applicable law or regulatory authorities.

6.5 Privacy-Focused and Anonymous Cryptocurrencies (e.g. Monero/XMR)

For privacy-focused or anonymous cryptocurrencies that do not technically allow Conectum to reliably identify or verify the original sending address (including, but not limited to, Monero/XMR), Conectum may be technically unable to return funds to the original sender due to the technical design and privacy features of the relevant blockchain protocol.

Such transactions may be subject to lower thresholds, enhanced review, or mandatory identity verification (KYC), regardless of the amount sent.

If a transaction involving such cryptocurrencies:

  • exceeds applicable limits,
  • triggers internal risk controls, or
  • is subject to AML/CTF review,

Conectum may restrict, block, or suspend the crediting or use of the funds until verification is completed or regulatory instructions are received.

Proof of transaction delivery (including transaction hash, transaction key, or view key) may be required to confirm that a payment was made to a Conectum-controlled address. Such proof does not constitute proof of ownership, identity, or entitlement to a refund.

Where refunds are technically impossible or legally restricted, the user acknowledges that funds may remain blocked or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law, and no obligation to process a refund shall apply.

6.6 Payment Time Window and Expiration of Payment Requests

Each Top-Up request, payment address, or QR code generated on the Platform is valid for a limited time only, as displayed to the user, and in any case for no longer than twenty (20) minutes from the time of generation.

If a payment is initiated or received after the expiration of the applicable time window, Conectum may, at its discretion:

  • not credit the transaction automatically, and
  • require manual resolution through Support, subject to compliance, verification, and applicable fee deductions.

Conectum shall not be responsible for any loss, delay, or failed crediting resulting from a user’s failure to complete the payment within the specified time window or from sending funds to an expired or invalid payment address or QR code.

6.7 Right of Withdrawal – Immediate Performance of Digital Content and Credits

Where the user qualifies as a Consumer under applicable law, the user expressly agrees that the performance of the contract begins immediately upon the successful completion of a Top-Up transaction or the issuance and activation of any digital content, internal credits (including Conectum Credits), vouchers, or licenses.

By providing such consent, the user acknowledges and agrees that the right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection laws, including the 14-day withdrawal period under Directive (EU) 2011/83/EU and its national implementations, is lost once the digital content, credits, or services have been made available.

This clause applies to the maximum extent permitted by mandatory applicable law.

6.8 Taxes

Users are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes, duties, or other governmental charges arising from the purchase or use of Digital Content, cryptocurrency payments, or use of the Platform.

Conectum does not provide tax advice and makes no representations regarding the tax treatment of any transaction.

7. Blockchain and Network Risks

Use of cryptocurrency and blockchain networks involves inherent risks, including network congestion, transaction delays, failed transactions, forks, protocol changes, and volatility.

Conectum is not responsible for losses resulting from blockchain behaviour, transaction failures, network fees, or protocol-level events beyond its control.

Users are responsible for selecting the correct blockchain network and payment method; Conectum is not responsible for losses resulting from sending funds on an incorrect network or to an incorrect address.

8. Conectum Credits (Top-Up Credits)

Conectum Credits (“CC”) are internal, prepaid digital units denominated in EUR-equivalent value at a fixed internal rate of 1 EUR = 1 CC, and are tied exclusively to the connected wallet or user access.

Conectum Credits are issued solely for the purpose of accessing digital content and services on the Platform and cannot be used as a general means of payment.

CC:

  • are non-transferable;
  • are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash or cryptocurrency;
  • do not constitute legal tender, electronic money, a financial instrument, or a deposit, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

CC are activated and made available for use immediately upon successful completion of a Top-Up, unless restricted under these Terms for compliance, verification, or risk-control purposes.

The maximum total amount of CC that may be held by a connected wallet or user access at any time or over its lifetime is 10,000 CC, unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by Conectum.

CC are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of crediting. Any unused CC expire automatically after this period without compensation, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.

9. Castrum OS License

By purchasing a license (Flashing Key) for Castrum OS, the user obtains a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-assignable right to install (“flash”) the Castrum OS operating system on one (1) compatible device. Ownership of the software is not transferred.

Each license permits one (1) installation and is considered delivered upon issuance of the installation key. Failed installations, regardless of the reason (including user error, technical inexperience, or device incompatibility), do not entitle the user to a replacement license, reissuance, or refund.

The license must be activated within three (3) months from the date of purchase. After this period, the license automatically expires without any right to a refund.

Licenses are strictly tied to the user account through which they were purchased and cannot be transferred to another person.

By purchasing the license, the user expressly agrees that the performance of the contract begins immediately upon issuance of the digital license and acknowledges that they thereby waive their right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable laws governing digital content.

Castrum OS is provided “as-is”, without any express or implied warranties, including (but not limited to) warranties of functionality, compatibility, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation.

9.1 Risks, Legality, and User Responsibility

Installing or flashing the Castrum OS operating system involves technical risks, including (but not limited to) device malfunction, data loss, reduced functionality, security risks, incompatibility, or permanent device damage (so-called “bricking”).

The user acknowledges and agrees that:

  • installation and use are performed entirely at their own risk,
  • they are responsible for verifying device compatibility prior to installation,
  • they must create backups of all important data before installation,
  • they bear full responsibility for the correct execution of the installation process.

The user is solely responsible for verifying whether the use of Castrum OS is legal in their country or in any other jurisdiction where the device is used, including during temporary presence (e.g., travel, vacation, or business trips).

The user agrees that if the use of the operating system is restricted or prohibited in a specific country, they will immediately cease using the system in that jurisdiction.

Conectum assumes no liability for:

  • violations of laws arising from the use of the system,
  • legal consequences, penalties, or restrictions related to the use of the system in any jurisdiction.

The user is fully responsible for all data on the device, regardless of the time or cause of loss. Conectum is not liable for:

  • loss, damage, or deletion of data during or after installation,
  • subsequent deletion or inaccessibility of data on an already installed system,
  • security incidents, including breaches, malware, or unauthorized access.

Conectum is also not liable for:

  • incompatibility with devices, applications, services, or networks,
  • loss of functionality (e.g., camera, sensors, signal),
  • updates or system changes affecting performance,
  • loss of manufacturer warranty,
  • actions of third parties or the use of unofficial tools,
  • any direct or indirect damages, including loss of profit, business, or data.

The user understands that modifications to the device may be permanent and, in certain cases, irreversible, and that restoring the device to its original state may not be possible.

10. VPN Services via Third-Party Providers

Conectum offers VPN vouchers. Conectum acts solely as a distributor of VPN vouchers. The VPN service itself is provided by independent third-party providers (e.g. Mullvad).

Conectum does not operate VPN infrastructure and is not responsible for:

– service availability;

– performance or speed;

– outages or disruptions;

– functional changes introduced by the provider.

Use of the service for unlawful purposes is strictly prohibited. The service is not intended to facilitate illegal activities.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use of VPN services is subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the respective provider. Users are responsible for compliance with the third party policies.

VPN vouchers are considered delivered digital content and are non-refundable once issued, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Secure eSIM Services via Third-Party Providers

Secure eSIM connectivity packages made available through the Platform are provided by the independent third-party telecommunications provider Transatel S.A.

Conectum acts solely as a digital distributor or intermediary for such packages and does not operate, control, or manage the underlying telecommunications infrastructure, mobile networks, or connectivity services.

All connectivity services are technically operated and managed by the respective third-party provider and may rely on agreements with local mobile network operators. Network availability, coverage, latency, and data speeds may vary depending on geographic location, device compatibility, roaming arrangements, local network conditions, and other factors outside the control of Conectum.

Conectum makes no representations or warranties regarding the availability, reliability, coverage, performance, or quality of connectivity services.

Conectum does not guarantee and shall not be responsible for:

  • coverage in any specific country, region, or network;
  • uninterrupted or error-free connectivity;
  • minimum data speeds or network performance;
  • compatibility with all devices, operating systems, or configurations;
  • availability of specific networks or roaming partners.

Activation procedures, validity periods, data allowances, geographic coverage, and other service characteristics depend on the specific eSIM package and are determined exclusively by the underlying connectivity provider.

Users are solely responsible for verifying that their device supports eSIM functionality and is compatible with the relevant connectivity services before purchasing or activating any eSIM package. Conectum shall not be liable for any incompatibility between a user’s device and the eSIM service.

Once an eSIM package has been issued, delivered, or activated on the Platform, it shall be considered delivered digital content. Except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise, issued or activated eSIM packages are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, including in cases of device incompatibility, insufficient coverage, user error during installation, or changes in the user’s circumstances.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Use of eSIM services is subject to the terms, conditions, acceptable use policies, and privacy policies of the respective third-party provider, including Transatel S.A. where applicable. Users are responsible for complying with such third-party policies.

Conectum shall not be liable for any interruption, degradation, limitation, or termination of connectivity services caused by third-party providers, local network operators, regulatory actions, or other factors beyond Conectum’s reasonable control.

Network Use Restrictions

Users acknowledge that eSIM connectivity services are intended solely for lawful personal or business use in accordance with applicable laws, international sanctions, and the policies of the underlying connectivity provider.

Users are prohibited from using eSIM services for any unlawful, abusive, infringing, misleading, fraudulent, or sanction-violating activities, as well as from interfering with or attempting to circumvent network restrictions, security mechanisms, or terms of use.

Conectum reserves the right, without prior notice, to restrict, suspend, or permanently terminate access to eSIM services where required by law, the underlying provider, or where there is a reasonable suspicion of violations of these terms.

Conectum may act in accordance with applicable laws and binding requests of competent authorities, including the implementation of appropriate restrictions or other measures where necessary.

12. Lawful Use and Prohibited Activities

Use of the Platform, Castrum OS, VPN services, or eSIM services for unlawful purposes is strictly prohibited.

Wallet-based access is designed to protect lawful privacy and does not grant immunity from legal obligations.

Conectum reserves the right to:

– restrict or block access;

– suspend services;

– cooperate with competent authorities when legally required.

Conectum may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform at any time, with or without prior notice, where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.

13. Monitoring and Abuse Prevention

For the purpose of monitoring and abuse prevention, without identifying users, Conectum may monitor technical patterns and usage signals to detect abuse, fraud, or unlawful use.

Such monitoring is limited to technical and operational data and does not involve the identification of users as natural or legal persons.

Pseudonymous access does not exempt users from compliance with applicable laws.

Processing of technical and operational data is described in the Conectum Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

14. No Warranty and Security Disclaimer

All services are provided “as is” and “as available”.

Despite a strong security focus, Conectum does not guarantee complete security or protection against all threats.

Conectum shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to network failures, blockchain disruptions, third-party service outages, regulatory actions, or acts of force majeure.

Privacy-oriented features are designed to enhance confidentiality but do not guarantee anonymity or protection from identification.

Users remain responsible for compliance with applicable laws.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conectum shall not be liable for:

– indirect or consequential damages;

– loss of data, profits, or access;

– failures attributable to third-party providers;

– misuse of services by users.

16. Intellectual Property

All content made available on the Conectum website and platform, including but not limited to software, operating systems, source and object code, documentation, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, designs, interfaces, and other materials (collectively, the “Content”), is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all intellectual property rights in the Content are owned by or licensed to Castrum Labs d.o.o. or its affiliated entities and licensors.

Nothing on the Conectum website or platform shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any intellectual property without the prior written consent of the respective rights holder, except as expressly permitted under the applicable Terms and Conditions.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, modification, distribution, or exploitation of any Content, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited and may result in civil and/or criminal liability.

Third-party trademarks, software, services, and content referenced on the platform remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely for descriptive or interoperability purposes.

17. Changes to the Platform and Terms & Severability

Conectum may modify, upgrade, or discontinue parts of the Platform at any time.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and Conectum regarding use of the Platform and supersede all prior communications.

18. Term and Termination of Use of the Platform

The user may request the termination of use of the Platform or closure of their user access at any time through the Platform’s user interface or by any other method made available by Conectum.

By submitting such a request, the user acknowledges and agrees that termination is generally immediate and irreversible and that, upon termination, the user will lose access to the Platform, related services, and any content associated with their access.

Any unused internal credits, balances, or other internal platform units shall not be redeemable for money or cryptocurrency and shall be forfeited upon termination, unless mandatory applicable law or an explicit written agreement between the user and Conectum provides otherwise.

Termination of use of the Platform does not affect the user’s statutory rights, in particular rights related to personal data protection, nor any obligations that arose prior to the termination.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Slovenia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

20. Support

Support is provided on a reasonable efforts basis.

Conectum does not guarantee response times, resolution times, or continuous availability of support.

Support may be limited where requests relate to third-party services, blockchain transactions, or user error.
